2017 Home Bout #1: Outlaws vs ShEvil Dead
March 18, 2017 @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
$15ANNOUNCING: NEW VENUE FOR 2017!
As you may (or may not – we won’t hold that against you) have heard, BAD is bringing our roller derby home season back to Oakland!
Our season opener is at the Historic 16th Street Station, or as we like to call it, “The Station.” Located in West Oakland, this former train station has outdoor and indoor space and is accessible by public transit. We’ll be playing outside so bring your sunglasses and sunscreen! Bleacher seating and up-close track-side seating (for those 18 and up) first come, first serve, but you can also BYOC (bring your own chair)!
We’re excited to host a match up between San Francisco ShEvil Dead and the Oakland Outlaws in our first bout of the season. Oakland may be home turf for the Outlaws, but ShEvil has proven they’re more than just a shambling band of rolling zombies. Who will reign supreme in this Battle of the Bay?
Limited on site parking is also available for $10 cash. All proceeds go back to the league to help us fund BAD operations.
Where: The Station
When: Saturday March 18, 2017
Who: San Francisco ShEvil Dead v. Oakland Outlaws
Doors Open: 4:00 PM
First Whistle: 5:00 PM
General Admission: $15*
*Kids 7 and under free.
Note: We’re trying out a new game day structure and featuring fierce competition between two of our home teams for most events in a single game format instead of doubleheaders.
BAD events at The Station are ADA accessible.
Season tickets are sold out, but save some cash with this BAD Deal—4 BAD home events for $65.
Have 15 or more people? Reach out to events@bayareaderby.com for group ticket options. Groups can get reserved seating on the turns, a “Talk Derby” liaison (your own person to help explain the rules to you!), and a group photo taken by one of our league-approved photographers. We can also offer drink tickets, express bar service, announcer shout outs, and private skater meet-and-greets!
